My expertise is in product writing, content marketing, and SEO. I use SEO precisely to improve search rankings and adhere to established company style guides.

I worked between the content marketing and product marketing teams, regularly communicating between both departments to ensure consistent messaging throughout all the content we created. I developed key skills in product marketing messaging and communication. I wrote to relate to customers, showing that Guru understood their pain points and detailing how the product can be a solution.
Each month I wrote 4-5 articles ranging in length from 500 to 2,500 words. I covered topics like internal communications and knowledge management. Each post was guided by a targeted set of high-ranking keywords and company use cases. I was also responsible for writing all product copy. This included blog posts announcing feature updates and landing page copy. I had a firm understanding of the user journey through the website and aligned the web copy with this user discovery.
My writing was clean, consistent, on-brand, and always arrived on time. I wrote copy that was a blend of informative and fun, keeping readers engaged and ensuring my copy was memorable.

I was part of the higher education freelance writing team where I created compelling articles for several websites. Computer science and business were my areas of expertise. Each week I wrote one 2,000-word article related to varied aspects of higher education to inform and inspire prospective students. My articles were heavily researched, optimized for keywords, and maintained a concise, informative tone. They aligned with company style guides and content marketing goals.

I was the primary writer for two of Sproutbox’s finance and business clients. I wrote three blog posts per week that explored the products and services they offered their customers as well as industry trends. Each article was optimized for specific keywords and the client’s tone. My writing voice balanced being informative with being easily digestible for more complicated topics.

As a SEO specialist at Delmain, I focused on maintaining and improving the ranking of client websites. I developed and launched a website audit that measured keyword usage on landing pages and blog posts. It was designed to track website performance over six months, collecting measurable data every month to be used in developing new content strategies.

I worked with Top Shelf Media for over a year. I wrote two or more articles per week that are product reviews, product rounds ups, how-tos, and long form. I recently worked with Chewy to try and write a review for one of their new products. I used a list of primary and secondary keywords to form each article around. Topics I regularly covered include cooking, tech, mind and body, home, food, and lifestyle. Click the link below to see my live work samples.
